The perfect start for Rovers continues as it is now four wins in a row at the start of the 2022/23 season.
Chris Nunn made one change to Tuesday's emphatic win over Welwyn Garden City, with Wielblad coming in for Dahie in midfield. There was also a return for the injured Ronayne on the bench, as well as Dean Dummett.
Rovers opened the scoring on the half hour mark, Ben Baker grabbing his third of the season following his brace on Tuesday; a magnificent start to the campaign for the winger who missed a large chunk of the last two seasons due to injury.
It took until the 72nd minute before Rovers' first sub was made, Dummett coming on for Muyembe, Dummett returning to Hillgrounds since leaving the club in 2019 for stints at Barton Rovers and AFC Rushden & Diamonds.
The match was wrapped up with three minutes to go, the other Ben, Stevens, also getting his third of the season following goals in both league games already this campaign.
Bakogeorge and Williams were introduced in stoppage time in place of Hatch and Wielblad, but the game was soon finished and Rovers booked their place in Monday's draw.
Player of the Match was awarded to Ben Stevens, the first PoTM award of the season which will be presented by the Walnnutters for the remainder of the season. We thank our loyal supporters for sponsoring this.
