Rovers headed to Chesham looking to get back to winning ways following the midweek defeat to Kidlington. Chris Nunn made one change from the previous fixture, Jake Kerins starting in place of Magloire Muyembe at right back.
The first big chance of the game fell to Rovers on 16 minutes, Stevens digging out an excellent cross on the left which found the head of Hatch, but the striker diverted in wide.
A long period of possession for the home team followed, although nothing too troubling for Rovers who were more than happy to stay organised and counter in transition.
Stevens was next to have a big chance to open to scoring, his excellent footwork on the edge of the box led to the winger having a shot at goal, but was denied by the Ducks goalkeeper.
On the half hour mark Rovers did open the scoring, once again using the counter attack to their advantage, Dahie gained yards on the left where he put a perfectly weighted ball through to Baker whose initial shot was saved, but the rebound fell perfect to him to volley into the back of the net from 5 yards.
On 39 minutes it was two, good build up led with Stratton finding Baker on the right, the winger was tackled well but Kerins picked up the loose ball, his low cross evaded Dummett but found Hatch to fire home; an excellently worked goal.
There were no changes for either side at the break, but it was more of the same with Rovers looking very dangerous going forward. Dahie had a good opportunity to make it three on 57 minutes, Baker repaying the favour as he supplied the midfielder, but Dahie's low shot struck the post.
Half way through the half Rovers wrapped up the three points. Stratton this time the supplier as his perfect pass found Baker in space, through on goal he executed a dink over the onrushing goalkeeper, a very calm finish from the winger to get his ninth goal of the campaign.
To their credit, the hosts were knocking on the door and replied just two minutes later, McElroy finding the bottom corner from the edge of the box.
The final 15 minutes was fairly uneventful, Wilson, Muyembe and Ronayne all being introduced but chances were rare, although the hosts did have the ball in the net late on, however they were penalised for a foul on Rose.
Rovers climb up to second following the victory. Next up we are at home on Saturday as Hadley make the trip.
