Kidlington haven’t started this season as they would have hoped to, after losing their opening fixture at home to Bedford Town, they had a night to forget at Bromsgrove and see themselves with no points, no goals and a goal difference of minus sixteen after just two games. With a home date against Marlow in the FA Cup prior to our visit, Kidlington will really be hoping to kick start their season over the Bank Holiday Weekend
Kempston have also registered two defeats from their opening two fixtures this season, away at Aylesbury and then at home to Coleshill Town. Saturday’s trip to Desborough ahead of this game sees Rovers playing three of their first four fixtures this season away from home.
Basic directions;
Take the A421 toward Milton Keynes. Go through the New City, following A421 Buckingham. When the A421 splits at Finmere Aerodrome, follow the A4421 toward Bicester (slight left). Turn right (3rd exit) to get on to the A4095 at the roundabout, follow this around the edge of Bicester. Continue around the town, using the B4030, heading toward the A41. Join the A41, then after the M40 flyover, use the A34 toward Oxford. Take the Kidlington exit, also signed “Water Eaton Park & Ride” and take the first exit on the next roundabout. At the traffic lights, after the Miller & Carter pub, turn right then at the end of Bicester Road, take the right turn onto Oxford Road. Take the second left (the one after the Co-op) onto Yarnton Road. The entrance to the ground is on the left among the trees. The car park should be large enough for this fixture, but surrounding roads are there for considerate parking if required.
