AFC’s Current League Form (six games) WLDLLW
Did you know… Our first ever meeting with AFC was in December 2005, since then the pair have met a total of 14 times to date. Kempston eight of them and getting one further draw. Since the two sides have been in the same division, Rovers have four wins out of the five league fixtures.
In the bar Before our kick off, we have Spurs against Huddersfield live on the big screens. After we are done on the pitch we have the choice of either Manchester United against West Ham or the South Yorkshire Derby between Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday.
On this day in Rovers history… Seven of our last eight games on this day have been away from home.
Rovers last win on this date came in 1991, when the team travelled to a pre-Griggs Nene Park to play Irthlingborough Diamonds, winning 5-3.
The oldest game recorded on this date was in 1925 when Rovers won 1-0 away at Wootton Blue Cross.
This is Rovers’ penultimate home game of the season, with only our big ‘local’ Bank Holiday fixture to come at Hillgrounds after.
AFC Dunstable come to town with three familiar names in their squad. Kyle McNulty made a total of 64 appearances for Kempston across his season and a half with the club. Grant Fryer only made one appearance this season but has 71 all together in his three spells with the club, scoring 7 goals. While Jermaine Hall is probably more famous for his first spell with AFC than his short lived time at Hillgrounds, he still has an impressive record of four goals in six appearances for the Walnuts.
The reverse fixture, just before Christmas saw Rovers end the nightmare run of twelve without a win, including ten straight defeats. It was Jordan Wright’s first game for the club and Ben Aquaye’s last.
