A short trip to Willington laid in wait for Rovers, as Biggleswade FC welcomed the Walnuts for the last away game of the season.
Javin Dougan and Harvey Laws started in place of McShane and Baker, the only two changes following the disappointing performance at Wantage on Saturday.
A goalless first half had lots of opportunities, with Biggleswade striking the crossbar from 25 yards early on. Johnson up against his former club had the first opportunity for Rovers, but his shot was dragged wide. Just after the half hour mark the woodwork was struck again by the hosts, but Rovers escaped again.
Into the second 45 and it started perfectly for Rovers, Charles' run from the right ended with his finding Dougan on the edge of the box where he cut in and fired into the near corner, his second for Rovers this season. Dougan then struck the post on the next attack as Hayford's free kick found his head, a chance Rovers would pay for.
Just five minutes later Dougan gave away a free kick on the left, which was whipped in and found the head of Coles who rose above Debayo to head past Ringer.
A well worked move just four minutes later as Marsh's shot got a slight deflection and beat Ringer from close range.
A good save from Ringer moments after prevented the hosts from making it three, but the Rovers stopper and Ronayne got into a mix up on 62 minutes, a through ball was chested by the Rovers defender however Ringer had anticipated the ball coming straight to him, the ball trickling into the corner as Rovers were helpless.
The result means Rovers cannot move any higher or lower in the table, finishing 18th. This is of course subject to the FA's ground-grading decision on Welwyn Garden City, which may fortunately save Rovers from a relegation playoff. Our last home game of the season is at Hillgrounds this Saturday as we host Waltham Abbey.
