Club Statement - First Team Management

Matthew Vine3 Nov - 20:19

Details of changes to the first team management at Kempston Rovers FC.

Kempston Rovers have announced that Adrian Turner has been appointed first team manager, with Kevin Ward as assistant, both of whom have been promoted from managerial positions within our reserves.

The appointment comes following the resignation of manager Leon Cashman last week. Assistant manager Sam Vladimirov and First Team Coach Tony Fabrizio have also left the club.

The club would like to place on record their thanks to Leon and his management team for their hard work over the last 12 months, rebuilding in our first season back in Step 5. Thanks will also extend to Sam and Tony for taking temporary charge in last Saturday's win over Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.

The club now looks ahead with Adrian at the helm, where the club hopes that Adrian can continue to build on the foundations set, as well as rewarding players through the club to progress from Colts up through the reserves and first team.

Adrian mentioned, "I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to try and build on all the good work of the previous manager and staff. Kevin and I know how big this club is and how much it means to the fans and all the people who work to make it a special place and a great football club.

"We now need to get our heads down and concentrate on making the side as successful as we can, winning games and pushing up the league. We know we have a challenge ahead, but Kevin, the players and I are ready. Up the Walnuts!"

Adrian's first fixture will be at home to Crawley Green on Saturday 15th November, meaning a number of training sessions will be completed in preparation for this match, as we look to make it three wins in a row.
