Cup fever in Kempston this Tuesday as our quest begins to be the best in Beds! South Midlands Premier high-flyers Leighton Town make the journey over for the first round fixture, with the winner hosting either Dunstable Town or Luton Town in the last eight on the 15th February.
Rovers will be looking to go far in this competition, with Scott Dash and his management team still in the early phases of their tenure when involved in the FA Trophy and League Cup earlier on in the season.
Tarik Dallas and Jack Quigley both featured for the reserves as they came back from injury and suspension respectively on Saturday, so have an opportunity to return to first team action. Following the heavy fixture load in the last fortnight, some senior players may be given the chance to rotate, including James Cooper and Rafal Wielblad who did not feature in Saturday's 2-1 defeat to AFC Dunstable. Charlie Hayford and Emmanuel Dahie will also be looking to get some more game time following their returns from injury.
Leighton Town currently sit in 4th place in the South Midlands league at Step 5, behind Risborough Rangers, New Salamis and Hadley. Former Rovers players Connor Coulson and Dave Murphy have featured for Town this season.
