Our league campaign gets underway this Saturday as we welcome Biggleswade Town to Hillgrounds. Following Rovers' FA Cup success last Saturday, they'll be hoping to continue the form in the league.
A host of new players and management will be involved in their first competitive game at Hillgrounds, a list of the squad can be found here.
Rovers we reduced to nine men last Saturday at Harleston, with Taishan Griffith and James Lauder both having been given their marching orders from the referee. The Walnuts dug in and weathered a late come back from the hosts to book themselves into the next round where Biggleswade FC will visit Hillgrounds on the 19th August.
Biggleswade Town will be eyeing up promotion this season. Finishing just outside the playoffs in their first year back in Step 4, the Waders have recruited well with BJ Christie, Cole DaSilva and Kieron Forbes all signing as well as retaining a large number of last year's squad.
Rovers picked up four points against Town last season, a 2-2 draw at Langford Road in August was then bettered with a 2-0 win at Hillgrounds back in January.
Admission for this fixture is £10 adults, £5 concessions/students, £1 children. KRFC youth team players will gain free admission when showing their season cards or wearing club apparel. Turnstiles open at 1:30pm.
KRFC is continuing its initiative where season ticket holders of any club in any sport will gain £5 admission when presenting this at the turnstile. Card and cash is accepted. Please note that this excludes match day opponents.
Safe travels to all Waders players, fans and officials heading to Kempston.
