On Saturday Kempston Rovers make the trip to Essex to face Waltham Abbey.
Abbey find themselves 12th in the league with 16 points from their 11 games this season. They are currently on a run of 3 straight defeats after losing 2-0 to AFC Dunstable, 5-0 to Barton Rovers and 5-1 to Bognor Regis in the FA Trophy. Their last win came on the 23rd of October v Wantage, a 1-0 success.
Kempston go into this game looking to get their season back on track after 2 defeats against Aylesbury Utd and Ware respectively. Kempston currently lie 16th on 12 points so there is still everything to play for. Rovers have not played Waltham Abbey before.
Interesting fact about Waltham Abbey is that a local legend claims that Boudica's rebellion against the Romans ended in Waltham Abbey when she poisoned herself in 60ad- although this story has no proof.
Scott, Mark, Anton and Stuart will need all the support they can get from travelling Walnut fans so if you are going to the game be loud be proud back the boys and make some noise!!!
