We round off our tough November schedule with a home match against FC Romania. We have never faced our visitors before, with the club only formed in 2006.
Kempston picked up an impressive point against high-flying North Leigh last weekend, Charlie Hayford getting a second half equaliser in a game that saw the visitors have no shots on target from open play. The change in system and personnel proved effective for Scott Dash, even with a number of key players missing through suspension, injury or illness.
As Saturday approaches, Carl Knox is still out with suspension, he will return for the Thame Utd game on the 11th December. Harry Stratton, Emmanuel Dahie and Ben Baker are still injured, however Tre Charles and Adam Drakulic are in contention to return from their absence.
Tickets are priced as usual for this game, £9 adults, £5 concessions and students, £1 children. Youth team players will gain free entry, with an accompanying adult half price. Our average home crowd this season is 112, placing us 12th in the standings for the D1 Central.
We will be holding a minutes applause for ex-Rovers manager Ken Davidson who sadly died last week. We ask all fans to join in to pay their respects.
FC Romania are in 12th position, 9 points ahead of Rovers. The club originally played on Hackney Marshes, before moving to the Low Hall Recreation Ground in Walthamstow when they moved up to the Essex Business Houses League. When the club joined the Middlesex County League they began playing at Leyton Sports Centre. In 2012 the club began groundsharing at the Cheshunt Stadium.
We wish all travelling players, fans and officials a safe journey to Kempston.
