Thame travelled to Kempston for the hosts’ final home game of 2022.
The visitors raced into an early 2-0 lead, firstly through Lynton Goss who got onto the end of a clearance from the Thame goalkeeper, lobbing over Knox in the Rovers goal.
The second was scored by Dan West, with his quick feet in the box and placing excellently into the bottom corner.
The second half was a much more even affair, The Walnuts having an early chance to reduce the deficit in the 50th minute as Charlie Hayford won a penalty, but blazes the resulting spot kick onto the crossbar.
Hayford did get his goal with 15 minutes to go with an excellent finish outside the box, but the visitors held on.
Rovers travel to Kidlington next Saturday for their final league game before Christmas.
