Rovers travelled to the Oxfordshire border on Saturday, looking to bounce back from last week's derby defeat to Bedford Town. Scott Dash made three changes to the starting line up, Debayo, Wielblad and Mensah returning in place of Tearle, Laws and McShane who all dropped to the bench.
The first half hour was evenly matched in terms of chances, Johnson and Charles both putting in good crosses which fell to no one. Thame's best opportunity came through winger Blake, cutting in from the left and striking the crossbar.
The opener came from a corner for the Red Kites. A ball floated in and after some hesitant Rovers defending, Goss was on hand to poke home from a yard out.
Into stoppage time and Wielblad had a good opportunity for Rovers, however his low shot was well saved by the Thame goalkeeper. The rebound resulted in a break for the home team, ending in Blake's shot being well saved by Ringer. The resulting corner was floated in for Gledhill to volley home unchallenged from 6 yards out.
Into the second period and it took just ten minutes for Thame to get their third. Rovers losing the ball cheaply in midfield, and in transition Thame exploited Rovers' left side before a ball rolled across goal for Blake to slot into an empty net.
The rout was completed on the 74th minute, a cross once again from the Thame right was put into a good area but Garrett-Douglas' clearance struck the bar and crossed the line.
Despite efforts from Johnson late on, Rovers couldn't trouble the Thame net. Thame move within six points of the playoffs whereas Rovers are cut further adrift of safety following Hertford's win yesterday, now four points ahead.
Next up for Rovers we face 16th placed Kidlington at Hillgrounds on Saturday. With just two home games to go your support is valuable.
